About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Assistant II to join our team at Safeway. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions, receive and release prescription requests, and record deliveries.
  • Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and manage inventory.
  • Understand and promote pharmacy programs, including prescription assembly and data entry.
  • Filing prescriptions, ordering, and replenishing supplies, and cleaning the pharmacy area.
  • Assist the pharmacist with dispensary tasks as permitted by scope.

Requirements:

  • Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary Institute.
  • Will consider applicants with 2 years retail Canadian Pharmacy Experience in lieu of certificate in some Provinces.
  • Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
