Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Superintendent to join our team at Bantrel. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction of underground mining infrastructure, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to optimize project delivery and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement effective construction strategies, taking into account the needs of the project and the requirements of the client.
- Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that any variances are identified and addressed promptly.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that they are aware of project requirements and are working towards common goals.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, ensuring that they do not impact the project or the organization.
- Develop and implement effective quality control and assurance processes, ensuring that all construction activities meet the required standards.
- Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in a safe and healthy manner, in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in underground mining construction, with a strong background in structural engineering and construction management.
- Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high performance outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice, with the ability to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with these requirements.
- Ability to develop and implement effective quality control and assurance processes, ensuring that all construction activities meet the required standards.
- Ability to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in a safe and healthy manner, in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
