Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to optimize project delivery and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement effective construction strategies, taking into account the needs of the project and the requirements of the client.
  • Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that any variances are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that they are aware of project requirements and are working towards common goals.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, ensuring that they do not impact the project or the organization.
  • Develop and implement effective quality control and assurance processes, ensuring that all construction activities meet the required standards.
  • Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in a safe and healthy manner, in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in underground mining construction, with a strong background in structural engineering and construction management.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high performance outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice, with the ability to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with these requirements.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective quality control and assurance processes, ensuring that all construction activities meet the required standards.
  • Ability to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in a safe and healthy manner, in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
