About the Role

As a key member of our team at Northbridge Financial Corporation, the Executive Underwriter - Complex Risk Specialist will play a critical role in developing and implementing customized insurance solutions for our commercial clients. This involves working closely with our extensive broker network to identify and mitigate complex risks, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible coverage for their unique business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop tailored insurance solutions for complex commercial clients
  • Collaborate with our broker network to identify and address emerging risks and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, actuaries, and claims specialists
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform our risk management strategies

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in underwriting and risk management, preferably in the commercial insurance sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk management principles
