Position: Analyst, Private Equity

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Your Opportunity

As an Analyst in our Private Equity team, you will play an integral role in supporting the preparation of new investment opportunities, conducting industry research on business and market fundamentals, developing investment models and financial analysis, and conducting due diligence on potential transactions and ongoing investments. Your ability to stay informed on fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments relevant to KV Capital and its investments, and to critically assess market conditions and trends will be critical in this role.

  • Conduct various analyses, including valuation, financial modelling, and comparable analysis.
  • Monitor fundamental economic, industry, and corporate developments relevant to KV Capital and its portfolio investments.
  • Provide continuous support to the private equity team for target entities under due diligence.
  • Maintain the proprietary targets lead databases and compile regular lead activity reports.
  • Maintain the intermediary database of deal flow metrics and compile regular activity reports.
  • Support Directors in managing fund investments, including cash flow modeling and regular forecasting.
  • Participate in team meetings and support Directors with necessary research, analysis, or administrative requirements for both new and existing investments.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  1. Bachelor's degree in commerce, mathematics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  2. Experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate development, advisory services, or broader financial services.
  3. A strong interest in and understanding of private market transactions.
  4. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Pitchbook, and DealCloud.
  5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce professional-quality materials and present recommendations effectively.
