Job Summary:
Destinationone Consulting is seeking a skilled Emergency Preparedness Coordinator to develop and implement effective emergency preparedness plans. The successful candidate will assess community risks, conduct training and drills, and collaborate with local agencies to ensure readiness for emergencies and disasters.
About the Role:
As an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting risk assessments and developing emergency preparedness plans to mitigate potential threats.
- Developing and implementing training programs for emergency response teams to ensure they are equipped to handle various emergency situations.
- Fostering collaboration with local agencies, organizations, and community groups to promote emergency preparedness and response.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on preparedness activities to inform future planning.
- Providing education and awareness to the public on emergency preparedness and response.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in emergency management, public health, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in emergency preparedness or a related area.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of emergency management frameworks and protocols.
