Senior Systems Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team at Access Corporate Technologies Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems design, analysis, and implementation, as well as experience with legacy system migration and modern web application development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Systems Design and Analysis: Participate in all aspects of systems design, analysis, and implementation of large legacy systems and development projects.
  • Legacy System Migration: Convert large legacy Java Swing desktop applications into modern scalable web applications.
  • API Development: Develop Restful service APIs in Java and possess a strong knowledge of J2EE, EJB, and XML.
  • Angular Component Design: Design and develop Angular components across the web platform.
  • Business Requirements: Analyze and participate in the creation and gathering of business requirements.
  • Process Improvements: Contribute to process improvements, design, and implementation strategies to aid in timely delivery of web applications.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality assurance standards in each phase of development and perform checks on own work as well as the work of others.
  • Testing and Validation: Perform unit, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing as required.
  • Problem Resolution: Perform independent verification and validation of software applications and systems function and performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend project/team meetings and briefings to articulate proposed design or changes in a manner that makes sense to staff or to reach an understanding and/or solution to related problems and issues.
  • Methodologies and Best Practices: Support and use selected agency methodologies and best practices.
  • System Support: Support systems in test and production environments; perform complex problem resolution/debugging.
  • Release Preparation: Prepare the system for releases (production and lower states) and coordinate all changes with impacted partners.
