Position: Software Integration Developer

Summary: In the role of Software Integration Developer, you will be responsible for programming application modules, including coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining these modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team leaders to devise software solutions
  • Engage in the software development lifecycle from initial concept to final deployment
  • Contribute to the analysis, design, construction, and rollout of software
  • Involve in automated testing and provide constructive feedback to management throughout the development cycle
  • Diagnose and resolve post-production issues identified in the code
  • Modify and validate changes to existing software programs
  • Create visually appealing solutions, transforming architectural designs and mock-ups into functional front-end code
  • Build robust databases, applications, and servers to underpin back-end solutions
  • Design and implement RESTful services and APIs
  • Perform additional duties as necessary

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science is preferred, with comprehensive knowledge of applications and their business requirements
  • Experience in designing, developing, and deploying medium to large-scale software applications and integrations, primarily utilizing Java or Java-based tools for implementing SOAP-based web services or RESTful APIs
  • Ability to demonstrate, after appropriate training, knowledge of Enterprise Application Development tools (Java, 4GL, business process engines, etc.) and Enterprise Application Development Patterns
  • Ability to demonstrate, after appropriate training, experience with Enterprise Application Integration tools (ETLs, ESBs, etc.) and Enterprise Integration Patterns
  • General understanding and/or experience with standard industry methodologies for large-scale COTS implementation programs
  • Ability to demonstrate, after proper training, proficiency in programming/scripting/markup languages such as Java, Groovy, Python, Perl, HTML, XML, JSON, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate, after proper training, working knowledge of SOAP/REST concepts and technologies: XSD, XSLT, XPATH, WSDL, SOAP APIs, WS-*, JSON Schema, RAML/Swagger, RESTful APIs, and OAuth2, both in usage and implementation
  • Ability to demonstrate, after proper training, working knowledge of enterprise application and integration patterns, including message-oriented integrations leveraging technologies such as ActiveMQ, JMS, and STOMP
  • Basic understanding and experience with front-end and back-end development methodologies, as well as data modeling, mapping, structures, and integration, covering concepts and technologies such as SOA, ETLs, ESBs, MOMs, EAI, enterprise integration patterns, SQL/DDL/DML
  • Ability to demonstrate, after proper training, experience using standard 3GL and 4GL IDEs for development
  • Basic understanding and practical experience with various concepts including object-oriented Analysis and Design, design techniques and patterns, UML concepts, ORM frameworks, web application frameworks, software development methodologies and tools (e.g., build management, code repositories, version control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment), test-driven design, and behavior-driven design
  • Basic project management skills, including a working knowledge of SDLC methodologies, preferably Agile methodologies (e.g., Lean, XP, or Scrum)
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through troubleshooting complex technical challenges
