Capilano University is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Advisor to join its Finance Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting the University's financial planning and analysis functions.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain the University's budget system and data, including the preparation of budget documents and financial forecasts.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Conduct complex financial analysis and prepare financial reports for senior management, including annual budgets and internal and external reporting.
- Process Improvement and Innovation: Lead ongoing process improvements and develop new reporting and analytic tools for budgeting and forecasting.
- Financial Stewardship: Act as a resource for senior management during annual budget development and forecasting processes, and assist with the digital transformation project, including planning, implementation, and monitoring of financial components within the new ERP software.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (BBA/BCom)
- Three years of directly related work experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Experience working with external auditors
- Experience with PSAS/ASNPO accounting frameworks
- Experience in an ERP upgrade/implementation is an asset
- Obtained or working towards CPA designation is an asset
- Combination of education and experience may be considered
Capilano University offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary range of $68,994 - $101,191, with a control point of $91,992 per annum.
