Endocrinologist Associate Clinician Scientist

The Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital is seeking an Endocrinologist to join our team. As a clinical and academic endocrinologist, you will be responsible for managing outpatients with adrenal and pituitary disorders, as well as diabetes and thyroid disorders.
Responsibilities- Manage outpatients with adrenal and pituitary disorders, diabetes, and thyroid disorders.
- Participate in the Endocrinology inpatient consultation service and on-call coverage.
- Participate in the pituitary and general endocrinology and/or diabetes clinics at our Endocrine and Diabetes Centre.
- Rotate on the Endocrinology inpatient consultation service.
- Participate in the Endocrinology and Metabolism on-call rotation on a regular basis.
- Teach fellows, residents, and medical students.
The ideal candidate will be an endocrinologist with a clinical and academic focus in pituitary and adrenal disorders, with skills and interest to dedicate approximately 50-75% of their time to research. Fellowship training in relevant areas is required, and a Master's or PhD in a relevant area of research is advantageous.
The successful applicant must be licensed or eligible to practice medicine in Ontario, have or be eligible for certification in Endocrinology and Metabolism by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and be a member of or be eligible for membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
Experience teaching medical students and residents is required. The successful candidate will be eligible to hold an academic appointment at the rank of an Assistant Professor or higher at the University of Ottawa.
