Job Title: Automotive Systems Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automotive Systems Specialist to join our team at Harwood Ford. As an Automotive Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing work orders, testing automotive systems and components, and adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review work orders to determine the necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Test automotive systems and components to identify any issues or defects
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems as needed
  • Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service to ensure vehicles are running efficiently and safely
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed

Requirements:

  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Experience with engine repair, electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, diagnostics, alignment, steering and suspension, brake system, fuel and emission system, ignition and electrical system, automatic transmission, and drive train components
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
