Reporting to the Customs Manager at Cole International, this Customs Clearance Specialist position is responsible for a wide variety of clerical and technical duties to ensure the prompt and accurate processing of customs clearances for various types of shipments. This includes, but is not limited to, data entry, research, working with various trade chain partners (customers, carriers, suppliers, and other Cole International branches) to affect validation and final accounting of customs entries.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customs clearances for various types of shipments
- Perform data entry and research duties
- Collaborate with trade chain partners to ensure accurate and timely customs clearances
- Validate and finalize customs entries
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Computer literacy
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry-related studies (CCS, CIFFA, etc.)
- Knowledge of the customs brokerage industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Time management skills
