About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Household Assistant to join our team at Private Household - Deena. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our private residence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Household Support: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris, and empty trash containers.
  • Laundry and Alterations: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required for this position.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: We offer support for newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: We offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
