About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fish Cutter to join our team at Spoon and Fork Japanese and Thai. As a Fish Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing special cuts of meat ordered by customers, cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat, and wrapping and packaging prepared meats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Weigh meats for sale
  • Price meat products
  • Clean and prepare fish and shellfish
  • Sell meats to customers
  • Cut fish into steaks and fillets
  • Prepare special orders
  • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
  • Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the field of employment
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Assistance with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Support for social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Recruitment of newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
  • Support for newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Offer of mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
  • Provision of diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
Work Environment
