Role Overview

We're looking for a skilled Department Head to lead our Procurement team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement consulting services
  • Strengthen team technical skills through training and recruitment
  • Actively participate in project delivery
  • Monitor and assess employees
  • Work with Innovation and Practice teams to streamline department efficiency
  • Keep updated on key industry suppliers
  • Meet with sales representatives and analyze market trends
  • Coordinate major procurement strategies
  • Lead the bidding process
  • Build relationships with key suppliers
  • Apply cost reduction and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with local and international procurement regulations
  • Work closely with engineering and other PMO teams
  • Manage ongoing improvement of procurement methods and systems

Requirements

  • Advanced graduate diploma or certificate in supply chain management
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering environment
  • Experience in heavy industry, mining, and metals or energy sectors
  • Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
  • Excellent project management and cost analysis skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French)
  • Asset: experience in international project procurement
  • Asset: experience with logistics
