As a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Southlake, you will contribute to our goal of shockingly excellent service by providing accurate and timely results in a manner consistent with professional standards.

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) provides a professional service in laboratory analyses and interpretation in all areas of Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine/Immunology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support to staff, physicians, internal and external customers
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in laboratory technology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. If you have a passion for delivering excellent patient care and are committed to staying current with industry developments, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from a recognized Medical Laboratory Technology program
  • Current certification as a General MLT from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
  • 30 hours of continuing education credits every year
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, problem assessment, customer service, and teamwork skills
