Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Hinton. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and management of chronic conditions. You will also have the opportunity to participate in emergency room coverage, inpatient and outpatient services, and long-term care.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a community-based setting
- Participate in emergency room coverage, including equal participation in the call schedule
- Contribute to quality improvement programs and initiatives within the Department of Family Medicine
- Participate in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs
- Collaborate with peers and care team colleagues to support patient care
- Current Alberta Practice Permit or valid CPSA Letter of Eligibility to practice in the advertised position
- Recent hands-on experience in all areas of family medicine, including emergency room experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications
- College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) and College of Family Physicians of Canada - Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM) certifications
- Geriatrics and rural emergency room experience
