About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Supervisor to join our team at Ponderosa Motor Inn. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Assist guests with special needs, ensuring that their stay with us is comfortable and enjoyable.
  • Team Management: Co-ordinate, assign, and review the work of our front desk staff, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and support to provide excellent service.
  • Staff Development: Hire and train new staff members in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, ensuring that they are equipped to provide exceptional service to our guests.
  • Operations: Maintain the operation of our computer systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging for repairs as needed to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition materials and supplies as needed, ensuring that our hotel is well-stocked and ready to meet the needs of our guests.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a large workload and tight deadlines.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
