Canadian Blood Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Donor Centre team in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct registration and confidential screening to determine donor eligibility and build a positive donor experience.
- Provide donors with information, instruction, and advice on blood donation.
- Act as team lead for collection events and provide coaching and consultation to donor centre staff.
- Assist in the collection of whole blood and/or apheresis blood components.
- Set up booths, tables, and equipment for mobile events.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program and current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the province.
- Two years of experience working as a nurse, with certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Previous experience as a preceptor or with coaching others.
- Technical skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
- Paid vacation.
