Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical designs and solutions for Data Center Team
  • Review and evaluate infrastructure designs based on business requirements and impact
  • Ensure architecture is designed with 'Security by Design' principles
  • Evaluate entire projects from a technical standpoint to ensure feasibility and practicality
  • Validate and challenge detailed technical infrastructure architectures provided by technology partners and vendors
  • Act as final point of escalation within area of expertise for any Data Center architecture

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of total experience in IT with relevant technologies
  • 5+ years of experience in analyzing and understanding Infrastructure related to Data Center, hardware and systems
  • 7+ Years of experience in deploying and managing virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS), automation, orchestration, cost frameworks, trends and Industry-leading private/public/hybrid cloud vendor offerings and interoperability
  • 5+ years of experience in high demand, low fault tolerance environments

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills in English (French is a big plus)
  • Demonstrate strong applied knowledge of layered architectures, virtualized environments, security, monitoring and high availability systems
  • Self-motivated with strong ability to learn business rules and comply with existing and new requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good knowledge of industry standards, legislation and best practices
