About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Drafter to join our team at FNX-INNOV. As an Electrical Design Drafter, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed designs and models for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and prepare engineering models and designs from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, and other data;
  • Complete documentation and produce sets of drawings;
  • Produce detailed plans under the guidance of the technical designer;
  • Perform administrative control activities for all engineering documents exchanged with clients;
  • Verify the application of general drawing standards, as well as those of the client;
  • Work from provided instructions to ensure that internal and client drawing standards are respected;
  • Work from provided information to create or update material lists from drawings or diagrams;
  • Update project progress reports and documentation, as needed;
  • Examine and submit transmission records for outgoing drawings and documents;
  • Classify and archive project drawings and related documents according to the established hierarchy;
  • Complete visual inspections and records of distribution arrangements (new or existing) on construction sites;
  • Work in teams with our technicians and designers;
  • Perform any other related tasks that may help in the project's realization.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Professional Studies (DEP) in various drafting or equivalent experience;
  • 0 to 1 year of relevant experience (internships or other jobs);
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAO: AutoCAD 2D (2013 to 2023);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D (asset);
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written (clientele outside of Quebec);
  • Ability to work in a team and respect deadlines;
  • Attention to detail, observational skills, curiosity, and ingenuity.
