We are seeking a skilled Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resource Team at Great Connections Employment Services. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the benefits and payroll function for 500 employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for over 550 employees (hourly/salaried) to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Manage and organize personnel records for payroll deductions, leaves, transfers, terminations, new hires, salary changes, and adjustments via an automated payroll system.
  • Reconcile account balances and comply with company policies, practices, and regulations as well as national and provincial laws.

**Requirements:**

  • 3-5 years of progressive management experience in a payroll and benefits position.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce and ADP Payroll System, HRIS, and SAP is an asset.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, strong knowledge of general compensation and payroll legislation.
  • Proficient computer skills including advanced Excel and Access knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
