Job Title: Crane Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team at IMP Aerospace & Defence. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, including mobile cranes and forklifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain mobile cranes and forklifts to lift and move aircraft components, materials, and equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on heavy equipment and machinery.
- Perform periodic inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Assist members of the maintenance trades as required.
- Provide on-job-training to other personnel in the maintenance mechanic trade.
- Attend upgrading training for trade or personal development.
- Remove all debris accumulated by task(s) performed and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Comply with all safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven mechanical experience with industrial machinery and industrial vehicles.
- Provincial Journeyman Mechanic License is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with the use of welders, acetylene equipment, vehicle maintenance equipment, diagnostic testing equipment, lifting and towing equipment, vehicle slings, and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Canadian government security clearances.
