We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Software Engineering Lead to join our team at SLC Canada Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, telecommunications, and leadership.
Job Description
The Telecommunications Software Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading teams of information systems professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems. This includes analyzing user requirements, designing and developing system architecture and specifications, researching and designing computer and telecommunications hardware, and supervising the manufacturing, installation, and implementation of this hardware.
Responsibilities
- Lead and co-ordinate teams of information systems professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, process control software and other embedded software control systems
- Analyze user's requirements, and design and develop system architecture and specifications
- Research, design, develop and integrate computer and telecommunications hardware
- Supervise, inspect and provide design support during the manufacturing, installation and implementation of computer and telecommunications hardware
- Research, design and develop information and communication system network architecture
- Assess, document and optimize the capacity and performance of information and communication system networks
Experience and Specialization
The successful candidate will have experience in project implementation, testing and evaluation, system integration, technical support, and networks. They will also have knowledge of cloud computing, shell scripting, client-server environments, Linux operating systems, Perl programming language, and Python programming language.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, health benefits, including a healthcare plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, 5 years or more of experience in software engineering and telecommunications, and excellent oral and written communication skills. You will also need to be able to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and provide accurate and efficient solutions to complex problems.
Location
This is a hybrid position that requires both in-person and remote work. We are willing to travel for work-related purposes.
