">We are seeking an experienced Financial Risk Manager to lead our risk management efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies, providing expert guidance on financial risk management practices, and mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
">- Perform financial risk management in credit risk-related areas.
- Support risk modeling, capital requirements, provisions, stress testing, and other key risk management solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other team members in risk, data & analytics and related topics.
- Supervise and provide strategic direction for various projects related to risk management, capital optimization, and IT solutions for Credit Risk quantification within financial institutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients in the banking sector, understand their needs, and ensure the consultancy firm delivers value-added services.
- Prepare and supervise contracts, define the scope of projects, negotiate fees with clients, and develop initial proposals.
- Oversee recruitment, staffing and internal training to ensure the consultancy firm acquires, allocates and develops top talent proficient in our core business.
- Spearhead innovation initiatives within the consultancy firm by leading the development of new tools, methodologies, and solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the banking industry.
Requirements
">To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any), Finance, Economics or a directly related field plus eight (8) years of financial risk management experience, within a consultancy firm or in a bank or financial institution.
The ideal candidate will have:
">- Six (6) years of experience in consulting engagements with financial services clients in the USA, Mexico, and Spain, or internally in the bank's teams located in these aforementioned countries.
- SAS and SQL programming skills.
- Four (4) years of experience in model development, capital, provisions, or stress testing.
- Two (2) years of experience in managing a team of professionals in the financial risk management domain or risk and capital database (BDR).
