About the RoleThe Funeral Director will be responsible for coordinating funeral services, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to families.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet with Families: Discuss funeral arrangements, obtain necessary information, and confirm family preferences.
- Coordinate Services: Arrange visitation, funeral, and graveside services, ensuring all details are executed according to family wishes and company standards.
- Manage Events: Plan and execute various events, including resource planning, ordering music, flowers, or catering, producing memorial products, and setting up event rooms.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited mortuary science program.
- Licenses: Current Funeral Director license as required by provincial regulations.
- Experience: Industry experience is preferred.
- Cognitive Ability: Reason, plan, identify problems, learn quickly, and apply learning to new situations.
- Communication Skills: Professional written and verbal communication skills, public speaking skills, and ability to influence and gain consensus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in databases, automated processes, and MS Office applications.
