Electrical Design and Integration Specialist

At Alstom, we're looking for an Electrical Design and Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Services Central Engineering Electrical Design team, you'll be responsible for carrying out electrical design activities related to the Metrolinx Corridors.

You'll provide electrical design support for Engineering Changes requested by our customers and inputs received from Correlation activities. Your day-to-day tasks will involve working closely with the team to maintain electrical core data, including schematics and wiring.

We're looking for someone with 3+ years of experience as a design engineer in the Railway sector, holding a Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanical engineering. You'll be responsible for developing electrical installation/wiring solutions for modifications developed by the System's team or from external 3rd parties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing electrical installation/wiring solutions for modifications
  • Managing the upkeep of affected core electrical data
  • Preparing modification design data and analyzing electrical engineering solutions
  • Providing electrical design cost and schedule estimates
  • Providing technical expertise in support of other disciplines
  • Attending Alstom and customer sites for on-train surveys
  • Responding to technical queries raised by the customer
