Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Technology and Operations group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable systems that support our business applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide production support for our applications, including off-hours support and incident management.
  2. Develop and implement Site Reliability Engineering solutions, including monitoring and alerting, machine learning anomaly detection, self-healing, and reliability testing.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.
  4. Design and implement software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  5. Work closely with our development teams to ensure that new applications and features are designed with reliability and scalability in mind.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in Site Reliability Engineering and apply this knowledge to improve our systems and processes.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 2+ years of experience in Application support, Software development, and Operations, with a focus on Site Reliability Engineering.
  2. Advanced knowledge of industry practices and technologies, including cloud computing, containerization, and microservices.
  3. Experience with a variety of programming languages and tools, including Ansible, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Blue Prism, Catch Point, and Grafana.
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
