About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Jeranne Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for framing, installing, and finishing various types of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and estimate costs and materials
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in the trade
  • Carpenter Trade Certification
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) training
  • Working at heights training
  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CADD Course
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Carpenter Red Seal Certificate
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced construction environment. You will be required to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
