Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating concrete pumps, loading and unloading construction materials, and performing routine maintenance work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction materials handling and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate concrete pumps and other heavy equipment to transport construction materials
  • Load and unload construction materials from trucks and other vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and machinery
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a noisy and dusty environment. The work site will be fast-paced, and the candidate will be required to handle heavy loads.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week.
