About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Vinyl Floor Installer to join our team at Maple Contractors Ltd.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing vinyl flooring in various locations, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The role involves inspecting, measuring, and marking surfaces, reading blueprints and specifications, and preparing flooring plans and scheduling.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of floor covering installation techniques, including resilient tile and sheet installations, hardwood strip flooring, and parquet flooring. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in floor covering installation
  • Red Seal Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • CPR and WHMIS certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working in confined spaces. They must also be able to distinguish between colors and possess good hand-eye coordination.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental coverage, RRSP matching, and paid vacation time.
