Job Title: Roofing Helper

Bell Roofing Ltd. is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Roofing Helper to join our team. As a Roofing Helper, you will assist our experienced roofers in various tasks, including loading and unloading construction materials, operating mobile and tower cranes, and performing routine maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Working with Diversity:

  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans
  • Recruits Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives (for example: job fairs, outreach programs, etc.)
  • Assists with immediate transition needs of Veterans (for example: relocation, housing, etc.)
  • Offers workshops, counseling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce (for example: adapting to different organizational structures)
  • Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market
  • Offers flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace (for example: gradually increasing hours and responsibilities, etc.)
Working with Indigenous People:
