Job Summary

Propak Systems Ltd. is seeking a skilled Junior Piping Designer to join our team. As a Junior Piping Designer, you will be responsible for providing basic design, drafting, and technical support for our piping design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of drawings and designs for piping systems
  • Collaborate with senior personnel to ensure designs meet company standards and regulations
  • Provide technical support for piping design projects
  • Assist in the creation of layout drawings and detailing of piping
  • Revises existing designs based on vendor drawings and changes from stress analysis updates
  • Assist in general updates to piping isometrics, structural drawings, and other various fabrication drawings
  • Receives and incorporates design data and vendor information
  • Assists in calculating piping components and pre-orders materials
  • Collaborates with Piping Checkers, Mechanical Engineering, and Fabrication Shop

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Engineering Design Drafting Technology (EDDT), or Process Piping Design (PPD) certificate, or recognized equivalent combination of training and experience in process piping design
  • Entry level position - no previous work experience is required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2020 or higher
  • Strong skills in Cadworx 2020 or higher
  • Fabrication shop designing experience is an asset
  • Understanding of design and drafting practices for piping components
  • Knowledge and familiarity of Navisworks
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office
