Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to join our Assessment and Permitting team within the Environmental Services practice area. This role offers the flexibility to work from one of our local offices in a hybrid environment.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Implement environmental assessment, impact assessment, and permitting processes for various projects, including mining, infrastructure, industrial, and community developments.
  • Manage project tasks and deliverables related to Provincial and Federal Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
  • Write and coordinate proposals and reports tailored to specific project requirements.
  • Conduct desktop studies to support regulatory requirements for various developments.
  • Develop and implement consultation programs with a focus on diverse stakeholders.
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and the public.

Qualifications

A university degree or post-undergraduate college diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or a related field is required. Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental program and project development, implementation, and management, with a focus on renewable energy projects. Experience with environmental impact assessments, including Federal IA, Class EA, TPAP, and/or Ontario Energy Board/Canada Energy Regulator processes is preferred.
