Strategic Content Director

About the Role:

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Director, Strategic Content to lead the development of strategic content in support of the Faculty's priorities. This role will play a critical part in conceptualizing and executing highly persuasive multi-million-dollar fundraising proposals, cases for support, and other related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic content to support the Faculty's priorities, including fundraising proposals and cases for support.
  • Conceptualize and execute highly persuasive multi-million-dollar fundraising proposals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including faculty, staff, alumni, and community leaders.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to support the Faculty's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • University degree from a recognized institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in senior communications positions, with a focus on strategic content development and fundraising.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
