Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul

Bison Transport Inc is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, requiring a high level of professionalism, customer service, and mountain driving expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments and pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
Requirements:
  • AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Valid passport and criminal record check
  • Driver's validity licence check and driving record check (abstract)

Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working on the road, with various locations and extended periods of travel. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and be willing to travel cross-border, internationally, and overnight.
