About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Processing Specialist to join our team at WIT FOODS INC. as a Butcher Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing meats for processing or cutting, cutting and trimming standard cuts of meat, and wrapping and packaging prepared meats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
  • Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Weigh meats for sale
  • Price meat products
  • Grind meats
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires standing for extended periods and physical demands. You will work in a meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
