We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobilizing.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Perform delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice.
- Communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to the supervisor.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A valid Personal Support Worker Acute Care diploma or Provincial Personal Care Worker course or equivalent.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to work a minimum of 6 shifts per quarter.
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification or BLS (required).
- Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset.
