Wastewater Treatment Specialist

Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled Wastewater Treatment Specialist to join our team in Sparwood, BC.

• This long-term contract position offers a competitive salary of $60-$70 per hour.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wastewater treatment systems, maintaining high safety and performance standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Operating, monitoring, and inspecting equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, and chemical pumps.
• Interpreting SCADA and lab data; adjusting equipment to optimize processing.
• Recording daily operational data and coordinating adjustments with shift operators.
• Laying, connecting, and testing water and sewer lines; disinfecting, flushing, and repairing water mains and sewer lines.
• Operating and maintaining wastewater lift stations, performing repairs on pumps, motors, chlorinators, and valves.
• Safely handling, loading, and unloading chemicals.
• Regulating system flows and pressures by starting or shutting down pumps.
• Performing pump efficiency tests and collecting water samples for analysis.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in water treatment facility operations.
• EOCP Program, Diploma in Sciences, Environmental Technology, or equivalent training.
• Water Treatment Certification: WWT Level III or higher.
• Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, and membrane filtration.
• Strong mechanical understanding of process equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.
