Job Title: Rural and Suburban Relay Mail Carrier

Description: Imagine having a flexible work schedule and making the road your office. As a rural and suburban relay mail carrier at Canada Post, this is possible. We are recruiting reliable and organized individuals on a part-time basis to deliver mail in various communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort, collect, and distribute mail in a safe and timely manner
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, clients, and delivery receptacles
  • Ensure mail is safely in possession
  • Treat various CPC products and services (Change of Address, Damaged Mail, Billed Mail Delivery, etc.)
  • Wear Canada Post identification while delivering and collecting mail from clients
  • Lift and transport articles up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
  • Have experience in deliveries and using a vehicle in various weather and road conditions

Other Information:

  • Have a satisfactory safe driving record
  • Hold a valid permanent provincial driver's license - Class 5
  • Have a minimum cargo space of 100 cu. ft.
  • Have a metal roof and an additional power outlet to install a Canada Post panel and a flashing light
  • Have a fifth door or hatch to allow for the loading of oversized and bulky items (preferably)
  • Provide and maintain the required automobile liability insurance
  • Notify your insurance company of the use of your vehicle for work at Canada Post

Important Note: To be considered, you must pass an interview.
