The position of Industrial Maintenance Operations Manager is a vital role at Gyproc, requiring exceptional leadership and technical expertise to drive the success of our maintenance department.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in plant engineering and maintenance to oversee the development of technical maintenance systems and lead the cultural growth of team members.

This senior-level role involves improving plant availability, asset utilization, efficiency, and capability by implementing proven Professional Maintenance and Reliability Centered improvement processes. The successful candidate will ensure both reactive and proactive maintenance support to all plant customers, manage department budgeting and capital expenditures, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance organization responsible for all plant physical assets, including building, grounds, machinery, and equipment.
  • Manage plant engineering activities, covering design, cost estimation, request submissions, selection/construction, and compliance with safety, environmental, health, and fire prevention standards.
  • Develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance systems/programs, including failure analysis and CMMS development.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching on problem-solving through WCM tools to ensure root cause issues are identified, eliminated, and sustained.
  • Prepare capital cost estimates for expenditures that support company goals and control aspects of expenditures within the approved budget.

This role also involves collaborating with plant and corporate functions on repairs, equipment modifications or installations, purchasing and accounting personnel on requisitions and capital request data, and corporate engineering on special projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, P. Eng designation or equivalent combination of education and experience. They should possess 10+ years of professional experience in progressive roles and knowledge of plant engineering/maintenance disciplines, such as automated control systems and programmable logic controllers. Experience in a continuous, 24/7 manufacturing environment is preferred.

A salary of approximately $120,000 per annum is offered for this position, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
