Job Description: We are seeking a top-notch investigator to join our Ottawa office. As a forensic expert, you will solve complex cases by conducting investigations, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing data. Your expertise will help us determine the origin and cause of fires and explosions for properties, vehicles, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine the cause of fires and explosions
- Interview witnesses and other parties involved in the investigation
- Analyze data and evidence to identify patterns and inconsistencies
- Prepare detailed reports of your findings for peer review
Requirements:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant training/education
- Prior experience in fire investigation or firefighting; CFEI and/or CVFI certification preferred
- Practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
