Job Summary

The School of Social Work and Human Service at Thompson Rivers University invites applications for a sessional lecturer to teach CYCA 2240 - Introduction to Child and Youth Trauma at our Williams Lake Campus.

This is a great opportunity to share your expertise and passion for teaching with students who are eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Teach CYCA 2240 - Introduction to Child and Youth Trauma at our Williams Lake Campus
  • Develop and deliver curriculum that meets the needs of students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental and faculty-wide initiatives

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Master's degree in Child & Youth Care or a related field
  • Subject matter expertise and practice experience in child and youth trauma
  • Successful teaching experience in post-secondary institutions
  • A minimum of five years of related practice experience
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating Indigenous knowledge and teaching methods

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000-$80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
