About the Opportunity:


George Brown College is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to lead the development and oversight of the college's Cyber Security architecture framework.



Job Summary:


The successful candidate will design and maintain secure systems and architectures to protect the college's critical data and assets against evolving cyber threats. This role requires a strategic thinker with advanced expertise in cybersecurity, architecture standards, principles, and practices, especially as it applies to cloud solutions.



Main Responsibilities:


Develop and maintain robust Cyber Security architectures and solutions that protect the college's information systems. Perform comprehensive reviews and assessments for new and existing projects, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies. Establish and oversee the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to ensure alignment with strategic goals and Cyber Security best practices.



Requirements:


A four-year degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Cyber Security, Information Technology (IT), Enterprise Information Security Architecture is required. One or more certifications in ISSAP, TOGAF, SABSA, CCSK, CCSP, DoDAF, FEAF, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, and/or Microsoft Cyber Security Architect are also required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in enterprise architecture (IT or Cyber Security/Information Security) including a minimum of 3 years dedicated to Cyber Security is necessary.
