About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineering Technician to join our team at Tech-Wood Building Components Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, and participate in field surveys, inspections, and technical investigations.
  • Design and Estimation: Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates, and prepare engineering designs and drawings.
  • Supervision: Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials, and lead a team of 11-15 people.
  • Civil Engineering Experience: Apply your knowledge of civil engineering principles to ensure the successful delivery of our construction projects, with a focus on buildings and structures.
  • Area of Specialization: Utilize your expertise in structural engineering to design and develop innovative solutions for our clients.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
