Job Summary

We are seeking a Substitute Teacher to join our team at Grasslands Public Schools. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify students' individual and collective learning needs
  • Plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs
  • Provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to their potential
  • Help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills, and values
  • Evaluate and communicate student progress
  • Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
  • Meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress
  • Volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities
  • Attend meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education from an approved institution
  • Valid Alberta Teaching Certification (or able to quickly obtain it)
  • Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
  • Original document reported within the last 6 months of hire date
