Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Produce Department Assistant to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Restock shelves with fresh produce, ensuring a clean and organized display area.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in locating products and answering questions about our produce offerings.
  • Unpack and inspect incoming shipments of produce, identifying any damage or quality issues.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following proper lifting techniques and adhering to food safety guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required for this position.
  • At least 7 months of experience in a retail or produce-related role is preferred.
  • Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) on a regular basis.
  • A criminal record check is also required for this position.
