Job Description
As a member of the Government of Alberta's park maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the upkeep and maintenance of outdoor facilities within provincial parks. Your duties may include:
  • Performing routine and preventative maintenance on infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Conducting water testing for small water systems.
  • Operating equipment such as mowers, trimmers, pressure washers, ATVs, and UTVs.
  • Assisting with trail maintenance, beach, and dock maintenance.
  • Installing and maintaining signage.
  • Painting.
  • Reporting all maintenance concerns accordingly.
  • Assisting with hazard tree management and invasive plant management programs.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a custodial or landscaping position and possess good physical stamina to perform manual duties outdoors in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily inspections of facilities and report any issues or concerns.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, skid steers, garbage trucks, etc.
  • Conduct water testing for small water systems.
  • Support the operation of various utility systems in accordance with standards and regulations.
  • Purchase and order supply inventory within budget.
