The Opportunity

Therapeutic Recreation Role

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist Assistant to contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreation therapy programs for residents with dementia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Recreation Therapy Manager in developing and delivering programs that meet resident goals and interventions
  • Provide assistance to residents, their families, and visitors in a safe and supportive environment
  • Organize program content and document resident attendance and response
  • Ensure all activities align with Shepherd's Care Foundation policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation (Gerontology) from a recognized institution or equivalent education in a related field
  • Minimum one year of experience working with elderly with dementia in a supportive setting
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
