At Northern Health Region, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including emergency departments, operating rooms, and medical-surgical units. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and provide education and support to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to promote best practices in nursing care
- Current active practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within three months of commencing employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course
- Emergency Practice, Interventions & Care, Canada (EPICC) Foundations Level
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) course
- Electrocardiogram (ECG) Rhythm Analysis course
- Emergency Department Information System (EDIS)
- Ability to use clindoc documentation system
- Two years recent experience in applicable department/unit/program
- Working knowledge of Windows-based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
