Job Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing drilling operations and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of well construction projects. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of drilling procedures, techniques, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct rig crews in setting up rigs and drilling, completing or servicing oil and gas exploration and producing wells
  • Assemble and attach equipment, tools or recorders to drill stem or wireline to conduct required procedures and tests
  • Operate controls of drill or service rig drilling and hoisting machinery
  • Maintain records of drilling and servicing operations
  • Train or arrange for training of crew members
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drilling operations
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent education
  • Valid driver's licence
  • First Aid Certificate and Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
Work Environment:

The selected candidate will be working outdoors in a fast-paced environment with exposure to extreme cold temperatures, wet/damp conditions, and potential hazardous situations. They must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. A bonus structure is also in place to reward exceptional performance.
